Here’s an intriguing interplay between trees and humans that I
spotted in my Seattle neighborhood: One tree had to be cut away harshly to make
room for wires. Then another was planted to make the traffic circle in the
intersection a bit more attractive – yet it’s partially obscuring the caution
sign it is meant to beautify.
