Light in the dark. Happy Holidays!

[By Marcia Milner-Brage, Cedar Falls, Iowa, USA]

In the Northern Hemisphere it is the darkest time of year. And here in the Upper Midwest, the coldest. Every year our neighbor across the backyard fence places this illuminated star in their window. I am ever grateful. It captures the joy and hope of this season. This star is a beacon for me to look towards the returning light and to believe in the goodwill shared with neighbors. For my Urban Sketcher neighbors, near and far, I wish you health and happiness in this holiday time and for the New Year.
