While most of the attendees of the 2017 USk Symposium were exploring and sketching around Chicago, a second TV segment promoting our event and the public sketch walk was happening just up the street from the Goodman Center where registration was just about to begin.
At the ABC Channel 7 newsroom, directly across the street from The Chicago Theater, Urban Sketchers President Amber Sausen and USk board member and Hong Kong artist Alvin Wong were invited to sketch various views of the studio during the live broadcast Wednesday morning. The camera cut to Alvin sketching inside the studio during commercial breaks and later, when Amber and Alvin moved outside to the sidewalk, news anchors Terrell Brown and Tanja Babich asked about urban sketching and the Symposium.
