[By Jeroen Janssen in Doel, Belgium] It has been a too long time ago I have been posting here.
I am all the time travelling to the endangered village of Doel and back (see previous posts), to sketch the last inhabitants and their life. And when I am not travelling to Doel, I am going to the rest home in the neighboring city, where Marcella lives. She is born in Doel, grew up in Doel, spent 88 years in Doel, and she told me thousand stories. But every time I go and visit her she uses less words, she leaves more and more mysterious gaps in her story. And those gaps, I fill them with my fantasy, and so I learn better and better what a life in Doel used to be.
