Saturday night we wrapped up another Symposium. We appreciate everyone following along here on the Symposium blog; please continue to as we'll have more recaps from Manchester and news about the 2017 Symposium.
I'd like to give the biggest thank you to Simone Ridyard, the local host of the 2016 Symposium, whose incredible passion for her city led her to share it with us. Her partner Phil Griffin, her workplace the Manchester School of Art, and even her friends got involved to help show off their hometown and to show us what a lovely, warm, welcoming city it is. We could not be more proud to have had the opportunity to work in Manchester with Simone.
Local and regional volunteers Sue Pownall, Lucie Golton, Sarah Franklin, Mike Dodds, Haryth Hilmy, David Steeden, Liz Ackerley (also a local correspondent for the Symposium!), and many others also worked hard to make the Symposium happen, while making it look effortless, and we appreciate their hospitality as well.
We will miss working so closely with Simone - monthly Skype meetings and near constant emails! - but we're looking forward to sketching with Simone and other Mancunians next year in Chicago!
