Miguel Real and I live in the same House of Artists, during our stay in Abrantes. We also meet at the restaurant. I'm interested in his approach to the city, divided into three historical moments: Medieval, Modern and Postmodern.
Today I'm making the medieval route. Besides the castle, there are not medieval buildings any more, but the layout of the streets remain.
I draw which were the main thoroughfares expansion of the city, when it crossed the castle walls: Rua Nova, Rua Grande, Also draw other old buildings with their endearing chipped facades. Also these huge chimneys, frequent in Portugal and the curious stairs that access the steeple of the Church of Sao Vicente (the huge architraves)
