Short trip to Bangkok, Thailand during the chinese new year holidays. Visited a fusion japanese cafe called Vanilla Garden, both a Bakeshop & Japanese Cafe Within A Garden.
Entering Vanilla Garden is like going in a rich man’s mansion. A fountain surrounded by greens and three separate buildings.
Located at Sukhumvit Soi 63 (Ekamai 12) Took a subway and on reaching the street, we decide to walk to the cafe not knowing that it is a very long street. By the time we reaches the cafe, I am totally soaked in my own sweat. First order was a icy cold Singa beer to cool down. Took out my sketch book and did this sketch, my first one in Thailand.
At the back is the Japanese-themed Vanilla Café, a low-rise house filled with Japanese comics and vintage toys. After a relaxing round of drinks and coffee including desserts, we are off to another cafe called On Lok Yun , a 80 years old coffee shop in Bangkok Chinatown.
