Just send my daughter to the nearby clinic for treatment for flu and sore throat. Coughing for nearly 1 week even after taking medicine. Reaching the clinic, taking blood test, x-ray, etc...doctor suggest IV infusion !
It seem there is no other better choice for treatment.
The treatment require 4 bags and takes two and half hours to complete.
Even while on drip treatment, Amanda is still working on her lap top , rushing to finish some office assignment.
While I was sketching away, a mother came in with a little girl, receiving treatment for breathing problem. She will have to receive 1 hour of air cleansing treatment followed by 2 bags of IV drip for cough and flu. In China, the heavy use of IV therapy is absolutely abnormal and even ridiculous. Most patients don't actually need it, but IVs are now even frequently recommended by doctors as a means of curing colds, flu and common illness.
In China, IV infusion has become a common medical therapy, while in foreign countries it is sometimes even considered a minor operation with significant risk.
Hopefully, the Chinese Ministry of Health can solve this problem through improving better hospital and medical care reform. Make more efforts to increase regulations on hospital management.
