As the holidays approach in New York City, so too does the annual activity known as the holiday hustle. Union Square Park in downtown Manhattan turns into a holiday market, with crowds of people jockeying for position to purchase t-shirts, candles, handbags, jewelry, scented soaps, and many other of life's necessities for their loved ones.
Personally, I prefer the view from the coffee shop across the street, and two flights up. I can sip a hot chocolate while drawing the bustle across the way, and even use the time to practice drawing the people hurrying by on 14th Street below.
Happy Holidays Urban Sketchers!
