This temple is Bayon, famous for the many faces of the Buddhist King Jayavarman VII that are carved into the tower faces (on all four sides!) everywhere. This amazing temple dates to the 12th and 13th centuries. Steep steps up, a virtual maze of stone.
Such an incredible experience to see and sketch these ancient sites, with good friends who are equally obsessive and whose talent is so inspiring. I love Urban Sketchers!
