The London Urban Sketchers met up on a slightly overcast Saturday to draw in Chelsea, down by the riverside. Albert Bridge was my subject for the day, from both north and south banks. The bridge, although dating back to the late 19th century, has not been a great structural success with major interventions having to be completed to make it safe to travel across. It was recently closed for nearly two years while more repairs were made. Still it does look very elegant, painted in pastel shades of blue, green and pink.
Afterwards we all met up at the appropriately named 'Doodle Bar' in Battersea to chat and look at the day's results. Thanks to Isabel Carmona for organising!
