By Kumi Matsukawa from Singapore
When I walked around in Singapore, I felt as if I was in a wonderland. There are so many diverse and unique region, buildings, ethnicity, taste of food, etc that you can encounter here and there within such short radius. People I run across on the street were always friendly and gave me nice words with great interest on what I do. Singapore welcomed us in a way made us feel at home.
This time I often hung out with Asuka, a sketcher from Australia, and her friends who live in Singapore. And have walked a lot and sketched a lot before the symposium days.
( pre-symposium sketches)

Those participants of the symposium were also so colorful with their background, style of drawing, nationality ( as is always the case.) I was intimidated by seeing those people who are well equipped with bunch of different types of brushes and nice easel, large watercolor papers. ( wow, these guys are so professional! What am I doing here with minimum sketch gear? ) I was so impressed meeting young talented Asian sketchers and their diverse way of expressions.
(Symposium Day1)

I took classes of Lapin, Workshop G : All You Can See 180゜Sketching ; Inma and Miguel's Workshop E :Thin Line, Bold Sketch ; Melanie's Workshop L:The Influence of Calligraphy in the Figure and Environment ; Paul's Activity A4:Wet and Wild with Texture ; Asnee's Activity A10 :Singapore Then and Now.
So nice to meet everyone and I was so happy to be able to learn from you.

And here are my result of the Demo D4 :Season the Shadows with Primary Colors

I loved those participants made sketches during my Demo. Thanks a lot for lovely souvenir.

Thank again those who made this wonderful event happen, strived selflessly.
