The Canals of Venice…

…in Los Angeles, that is!  For the 47th Worldwide Sketchcrawl, the Los Angeles group met in the seaside neighborhood of Venice, which is probably best known for its wild beach front that millions of tourists visit every year.  But we visited another, quieter Venice…the lovely canals.   Shiho Nakaza and Stephanie Lowe did a great job of organizing us, and we were joined by many of Stephanie’s Animo High School students as we walked to the canals.  I can’t remember having ever been there before, and it was a wonderful discovery!  It was cold and a bit overcast, which gave the canal a kind of dreamy haze…

Yes, those are miniature gondolas…waiting perhaps for sunnier weather?
