Rarely, do I remember to take a photo of a work in progress. However, last summer, I did take the opportunity to share a sketch in mid-creation.
Jumping back from my stool - while allowing my ink to dry, I was able to catch exactly what I was enthused about with the camera. Having drawn for about an hour with pencil, and as the light snuck in from behind the little piazza, I had quickly lay in washes of ink to capture the effect.
In this case, I was reassured that even the dogs love the Italian light. A black dog stood transfixed long enough to get her into the picture.
