by Inma Serrano in Liegé, Belgium
In September I had the opportunity to be among the artists who attended a meeting organized by Gerard Michel and "EMULATION" association in Liege.

The experience was really amazing.
I feel a privileged to have shared an all sketching week with artists that I admire and who I still consider my masters of drawing.

You know how is the obsession of drawing everywhere and the desire to laugh together too.
The streets and buildings were there, posing for us ... People, colors, houses and rooftops of Liege ...
It was impossible not to draw for a single moment.

The magical finale was a great Sketchcrawl where we joined with other hundred of crazy sketchers that came from many places in Europe.
Today I have received my sketches. They were in Liege for an exhibition till now.

The urge to write today is because Gerard has to know the important gift he gave us. I think he was also happy to see us so excited.
I am convinced that there are geniuses among us. I know Gerard Michel is one of them.
Like all geniuses he does not boast. He lives the life he wants to live. He makes others happy. He likes drinking beer, laughing and drawing nonstop. That's enough for him.
And I have the great fortune that he is also my friend.
Thanks Gerard!
