The weather didn't work along: Paris is not at its best in cold and rain, but we had a terrific time.
Here a few sketches of a place I always visit when in Paris: the fleamarket of Porte de Clignancourt.
This old man was hoping to sell the most incredible rubbish: old clothes, worn shoes, outdated schoolbooks, an old hairblower. It was cold, so he had a blanket on his lap and a plastic cup of coffee in his hand to warm him. But he was protected from the rain because of the viaduct above.
On the other side of the street other vendors had their stuff spread out on cartons with ropes on each corner. Whenever the horse mounted police came around, these guys would quickly lift the ropes, thus folding the carton and the contents, and be gone within seconds.
