We are pleased to announce the workshops and activities for the 5th International Urban Sketching Symposium in Paraty. This year we are offering a wide range of symposium events, including workshops, lectures, demonstrations, guided sketch tours and much more.
The faculty includes veteran instructors and many who are new to the Symposium, joining us from 14 countries, including Brazil, England, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, and the United States. They will lead programming on topics ranging from color to reflections to wide-angle perspectives, throughout beautiful Paraty, including locations such as Matriz Square, Church of Santa Rita, and Pontal Beach.
This year we are also offering multiple registration tiers, to accommodate sketchers who want a full slate of workshops, as well as those looking for a less structured but still fully immersive experience.
The Symposium begins on Wednesday, August 27 and continues through Saturday, August 30, ending with our annual Open Sketchcrawl, open to all citizens of Paraty and beyond. This year look forward to a few evening demos and lectures, and more time for breaks throughout the day.
For a complete list of workshops, visit the Paraty 2014 website. Registration opens March 31, so start planning your itinerary now!
