The street that climbs to the city center from the port is packed with italian-speaking tourists; it is obvious that a big cruise ship has just arrived. "Il duomo", "centro storico", "passeggiata", are words I manage to understand. In their way there are groups of bike taxis awaiting... they remind me of the rickshaws I used to see in old films, it is interesting seeing that concept updated.
What puzzles me is the way the drivers of these machines guess where tourist come from just by their looks, before they speak a single word. Then they speak to them in their own language!
