Last January 10th I visited the National Museum of Korea located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Though all the treasures have special value and beauty the above work made me stay for long. It locates in special room where visitors can not see it directly from outside passing the place because large nontransparent glass stands in the entrance of the room leaving both sides for people to come and go. I just wondered how and how....all the while of appreciating. I felt so proud of the fact that I was born as a descendant of such a marvelous artist and at the same time I felt so small of myself in front of the masterpiece. But I tried a rough drawing promising myself to visit and sketch again and again.
I heard the news that the sculpture to be exhibited from Oct. 29th, 2013 at the Metropolitan Museum, New York. It boards a plane today loaded at last here and unloaded at first in New York for the safety. Hope lots of people to see and love the Buddha!
