Pics and sketching in Denver

I'm usually pretty lazy about documenting my sketching sessions with photographs, but I've finally realized after a few years that the phone I keep with me at all times has a camera.  So here's a few on-the-job photos.

Really terrific sketches! Love seeing the sketchbook held up in front of the actual place/building/object being drawn! Well done!

Nice stuff! Really quite accurate too - it's interesting to see your sketches next to the photos.

Do you use a pencil to start these, or draw little measuring marks that you later erase? Or do you start with the pen immediately? If so, I'm very impressed and would love to hear what you're doing for the accuracy!

Thanks all! Suspect, I did use a pencil to rough out the basic framework for both of these sketches. Most of the time I go straight in with pen, especially in smaller sketchbooks.

Your beautifully observed detail always amazes me, Paul--wonderful to see some of the process here!
