SF sketch video

I don’t wear a sign around my neck that says, “Urban Sketcher,” but it seems wherever I go, I’m bound to meet another. I took the BART into San Francisco, and the very minute I sat down to begin sketching, a fellow Urban Sketcher, (Ralph Thompson- nice guy) walks up to me and begins talking about symposiums he has attended and is planning to attend! Amazing. Anyway, I think this is about my 16th sketch video now, and it records my commute from the East Bay into San Francisco on Good Friday. It shows two different sketches I was working on; the first one is down at Fisherman’s Wharf, and the second one is up on the corner of Hyde and Greenwich. The music score is by my very good friend, Danny Plett, and is called “1000 Days.” It’s only 2 1/2 minutes, and is mainly just sketching, with a few frames of context. Once again, it shows that I rough everything out in quick pencil before sketching with a pen. No watercolor this time, although I plan to do that later. Here’s the finished sketch: [finished]
