Peterborough's fantastic medieval cathedral is the kind of building you know you have to draw if you're in town for a short time, and it's quite strange for me to look back on this drawing, especially as I hardly ever use a pencil to draw with now. Although the building is 12th century, it strikes me as very modern, and I remember finding it quite literally breathtaking standing next to it to draw. It would be interesting to know how many modern buildings will still be standing in about 800 years' time.

James, always enjoy your drawings, but especially love this in pencil- nice variation in lines.
Peterborough is my old neck of the woods, I remember this old building very well. Great to see it here. Beautiful drawing.
Nice one James, I love the simplicity of this.
Neat sketch of what looks like a very unique building.
Thanks, all.
Beautiful drawing, James--with elegance and economy.
