Shovelling his way into the sketch

[By Shari Blaukopf in Montreal, Quebec, Canada]

I did this sketch in my car this morning on the way into work. I was finished the drawing and about to put on the first wash when I noticed the caretaker of the church slowly shovelling his path in the snow. He walked so slowly — it was as if he was shovelling his way into my sketch. And I was able to add him in before he disappeared behind the car and around the bend.
