One of the fun things about living in Los Angeles is being able to experience entertainment-related events. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the group that holds Oscars event that is shown on TV this weekend) had a public screening of this year's Oscar-nominated live action and animation short films, and I was lucky enough to get a ticket. While I was waiting for the show to start, I sketched an Oscar statue on stage.
