The Three Pubs of Chartham
On my recent trip back to the UK I was able to spend time with my parents in each of their three local pubs. The Artichoke (middle drawing) has to be my favorite, this 15th century old inn has three working fireplaces and a well inside. Great beer, great food and what I really like about it, no television, how many places would even dare to be so bold?

Absolutely spectacular drawings!!!
beautiful - and very appealing institutions
Fantastic drawings! Great job.
These sketches are so timeless and elegant, instant classics. And I'd be happy just having one "local pub" like those in my hood!
These are some of my favorites from you ever- the love and warmth of going home shows through.
Thanks everyone, sketching was a great release for me whilst I was back, as were the pubs themselves.
Memi, coming from you, that means a great deal to me. Thanks again.
Melanie said it--absolutely lovely!
Thanks again, I have a few more I'll post soon, I have forgotten just how important it is to get feed back. Thanks again.
Lovely! these drawings make me want to be there - very charming buildings.
Thanks Ea, I really enjoyed my time back in England, these drawings made it all the more special to me.
Superb pubs! I'm intrigued by your ruling pen technique too, would like to see that in action sometime.
Hey Murray, I'll have to get my wife to film me sometime, I'll keep you posted.
Sounds good Stephen. I have a ruling pen from the 'olden days' (as my kids like to call it) where I used to apply white gouache highlights and reverse type on my marker visuals. Could be fun to drag it out again.
