Sketchcrawl Kansas City

I'm so glad we chose to meet at Union Station, "under the clock" as generations before us have done!  We had a good turnout, and lots of kibbitzers who shared their OWN stories of this magnificent old building.  People who had worked there in the 60s, and their mothers before them, people whose parents brought them there as children or came there as children themselves, people who served the travelers and people who traveled from here...it was a GREAT day.

More photos and art on our Urban Sketchers Midwest blog!

What a grand old building. Good choice. Yesterday at the Ottawa Sketchcrawl, we met at the Museum of Nature, which also a wonderful building, but all of drew artifacts and people, rather than the architecture.

It IS a glorious building. Later in the year I want to sketch it from the Liberty Memorial, to get the whole sweep of it. Sounds like you had a good time too, John!
