In the British Museum

During John's birthday trip to london, we absolutely had to visit the British Museum (he's a sucker for all things Ancient Egyptian). While he was in the mummy rooms, I had a general tour around and did some sketching (of course).

I was sitting on the floor, drawing this last one, when a small group of primary school children and their teacher came up. There was the usual 'look , she's drawing...' from behind me, then one little boy announced 'I'm going to draw it too!' and sat down beside me. Before long, we were a little gang. I demonstrated my watercolour pencils and water brush, which always gets them very excited. A lovely interlude.

So lovely that the children joined in the sketching - I too enjoy using watercolour pencils and a water brush for quick colour.
