Totem Poles

There is a very dark room in the Royal BC Museum full of totem poles and masks from different tribes along the coast.
I used a pitt pen to capture the quick rough lines of the poles and then to fill in the background.

Merry Christmas / Happy New Year!

Thanks John, Pedro, and Rolf.
John, a pitt pen is a faber castell brand brush pen - about an 8mm long flexible tip that lays down a lot of ink quickly. They come in all kinds of colours too but I just have a black one.
