Born in Tokyo, Japan, I was raised in New YorkCity and moved to various states due to my work (California, Wisconsin,Pennsylvania, and currently inMassachusetts). I first began sketchingfrequently in 2000 to be able to communicate faster and better in my IndustrialDesign day Job. Now 12 years later, Isketch purely for enjoyment but it’s actuallyclose to an obsession!
Attending the 1st Urban SketchersSymposium in Portland in 2010 was a true eye opener for me since it was thefirst time I met so many like-minded peoplewith the same passions as me and Ilearned so much. I’m proud to be part of the Urban Sketchers community and it’struly an honor to be selected as acorrespondent.
I prefer to travel light and my entire dailysketching tool fits comfortably inside the mini Moleskine backpack shown in thephoto. Fountain pen & watercolor isthe medium I enjoy using the most.
