st nicholas morning i stepped out the door into some fresh snow. big snowflakes keep dropping all morning and at 3 pm berlins forest, 'grunewald' is bewitched.

today there is an icecold blue sky above the motorway / circularrail gap. commuters step along rognitzstrasse from circular rail to underground.

So wonderfully atmospheric.
Lovely landscapes--both of the them.
thank you a lot, laura and marcia.
marcia, interesting that you refere to the second as 'landscape' - i got the same feeling about this motor- and railway gap. the sky opens and there is a feeling of ground and width, even though there is only manmade traffic stuff visible. - not many people share my atitude towards this...
Maybe the term urban landscape would be more descriptive.
not to het into jargon, but as an urban designer, I would term it a "streetscape"......a nicely done rendering at that
Aha....even better John. I'll have to use "streetscape" as a tag when I do one that qualifies.
The second one really focuses on late afternoon sky colors. In both I really enjoy seeing the ink lines thicken and make blobs as your hand slows.
love them specially the bottom one
Love the person walking as a ghost in the second one. I can feel the cold day.
Fantastic feeling of the mood and the weather--beautiful!
thank you, john, sue, isabel, inma and virginia!
john and marcia, yes 'streetscape' is ok, but this streetscape around a100/circular rail has some landscape aspects to me, other than the 'inner-berlin-charlottenburg' streetscapes....
