Helsinki

Couple of weeks ago went to Helsinki to see Cat Power concert.

Unfortunately didn't have an opportunity to draw at the concert - everything was dark and contre-jour. But had a chance to visit my favorite places and discover some more.

bar#9 is <3
My favorite Helsinki bar - bar# 9, the place is lovely, they have the best pasta in the world and the barmens are always very nice.
Kitch
This place reminds me of the one from Hopper's painting "Nighthawks at the dinner". (mostly because of huge windows, I think)

This bar's name we can translate as Black Grouse's knock.

This family catched my eye in the Shopping center's suhi bar

I really like how you add lots of detail to parts and leave other areas more expansive. The lines you use are very expressive--especially on the portraits. Using the train window was a clever way to get a self-portrait into your sketch!

really inspired and love the way you use color and the white space on the first sketch...
but the rest are just as interesting, i supposed some of them are computer-coloring, i never really try one, what program would you recommend for a beginner? thanks.

Thanks, everybody! Your comments also inspire)

Asnee, I'm not a good advisor in this sort of things, I've worked only in photoshop. I've also tried Corel Painter, but there were so many oppotunities and bottons, so I didn't have the willpower and wasn't eager to learn how all this stuff works. From this point of view photoshop is better - it's more simple. I love to play with gradients and inversion!
