i had the oppertunity to visit goa for a professional conference.I took out some time during my morning walk and sketched few Goan structures.Goa was ruled by portugal many years ago, but the effects og portugese characters are still evident in the architecture of goa..a lovely place to visit if travelleing to india..

Beautiful and different for you, Sanjeev!
Lovely pen work and the colors are a great addition. R they Colors of the community by any chance?
thanks kate and susan...no they are just randomly picked colours, goa is bright and colourful!,hence such vibrant colours are used..
beautiful impression, Sanjeev.
LOVE the turquoise!
very interesting, both the surrounding and the way you expressed them..
allow me to try some on my next sketches, will keep you posted on the progress, promise..:-)
asnee..,there is a story behind this style. When i tried to pullout a sketchpad from my bag,it bruseed against a freshly painted paper, forming an abstract patch of colour on the pad..i didnot want to waste the paper,so decided to sketch aroud it ,and wow i loved the look of it!!...so now what i do is i paint abstact colour patches on paper ( at home),when i travel and then put only black ink strokes, balacing and composing along with the patch of colour!!..also it gives me choice to turn around paper in 4 ways to suit the scene in front of me!..inshort it was an accidental effect, which started this series. All colour patches are put before i reached the actual spots for sketching...i am applying for a patent!!..just joking!!..try it and share it!
I get excited when I see your underlying colour patches..superb artworks!!
Lovely sketches....in your unique style! I enjoyed reading about the story behind the style.
Very lucky "accident" Sanjeev! I love the way you balance the composition and the abstract feeling of the yellow/orange sketch. I have to try it! Thank you for sharing.
