1. We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
2. Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
3. Our drawings are a record of time and place.
4. We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
5. We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
6. We support each other and draw together.
7. We share our drawings online.
8. We show the world, one drawing at a time.
The Urban Sketchers logo was created by Italian graphic designer Franco Lancio.

it seems such a fun time, love the sketch..
A bit of a look into the pagan past with the "green man" appearing in a Christian holiday. Thanks for your window on life in your town--always wonderfully illustrated.
thanks guys- I wish I could've captured more of the wild costumes and colors than I did.
Oh, I miss Fasching so! Even though I live in Louisiana now - Mardi Gras central - nothing really compares with Fasching in German speaking lands (like the Salzkammergut of Austria). Rob Carey, you have captured so many wonderful memories in your beautiful drawings of southern Germany! Dankeschön!
Danke! Glad to "take you back."
great sketches, nicely captured Germany and its small towns!
