1. We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
2. Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
3. Our drawings are a record of time and place.
4. We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
5. We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
6. We support each other and draw together.
7. We share our drawings online.
8. We show the world, one drawing at a time.
The Urban Sketchers logo was created by Italian graphic designer Franco Lancio.

Oh children sometimes give us the best advice! I used to do that too: sketch my little ones while they were drawing. Then we went through a dry patch while they wouldn't make a mark with me, until recently my oldest picked up her sketchbook and asked to go to the botanical gardens to sketch together.
Hi!
This thought has been on my mind recently. My son, has a brilliant imagination and is quite an artist. He is barely 6! He draws from his 'head' and I generally ask him where he gets all these ideas from. It is difficult for me to draw 'from my head'. I wish I had doodled more often while I was growing up!
Do stop by and check his studio at:

Thanks!

Marina, your work is gorgeous.
Your sketches have so much life and personality! I love the ladies with the lipstick and sparkly ring. You bring us right into the story. Thanks!
Thank you all for your nice comments!
@Minerva - all my children liked to draw when they was young and stopped at some stage. Now my youngest daughter is 6, so she still love drawing with me. Enjoy sketching with your oldest!
@Cheena - loved your son's drawings!
