I'm very happy to say that some of my images are now on sale at IKEA stores around the world. The images are a series of five art cards featuring London scenes, perfectly timed for the forthcoming Olympics here.My copy of the beautiful "The Art of Urban Sketching" arrived yesterday.
It's been a good week.
There's more info at my blog.

Last saturday I recognized your style immediately (and of course bought them). Congratulations!
congrats! Happy that IKEA is selling great art! (good reason to visit there)
Nice one James, that definitely sounds like a dream week! We don't have an IKEA here to check them out at, but I imagine they would transfer really well to a larger size.
Thanks very much all of you. The images are actually quite small - cards that can be framed, as I understand it. I haven't seen them myself yet.
Hi James, just got your cards from our Ikea way out here on the NorthWest edge of North America, they are 5"X 7"perfectly printed on nice card stock, they look great. Ikea has a set in frames, and they of course sell the frames also.
And then when I got home my copy of "The Art of Urban Sketching" had arrived. Happy Happy!
Ha, Don! The world just got very very small.
The book is fantastic, isn't it?
Hi James! wow! I wonder if they have made it down under...a good excuse to go to Ikea!!!! Congrats!
Congratulations James.
I agree by the way, "The Art of Urban Sketching" is a wonderful book - turned out Great!
The drawings are fantastic of course, and the editing of the written text was well done. I was struck by the quality of insight each sketcher made about their work and sketching in general.
Great one James!
Thanks very much. I think they're in some stores Down Under, Liz.
Congratulations James! I've got to go to IKEA.
