Our 3rd International Urban Sketching Symposium will be in the sunny Caribbean city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, July 12-14!
Thanks go to Centro Cultural de España and Museo de las Casas Reales for hosting us and to the volunteers who are working really hard to organize a great event.
The Symposium consists of sketching workshops, panels and lectures by a top-notch team of international instructors and a whole lot of fun sharing our love for on-location drawing.

P.S.: Our first Symposium was hosted by Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Ore., United States, in 2010 (blog, flickr). In 2011, our 2nd Symposium was held in Lisbon, Portugal, at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (blog, flickr). This may be the one I can attend. It looks as if Jetblue runs regular flights at a somewhat reasonable price from JFK.

It's been a team effort and I thank the USK Symposium Committee and the Board for their valuable feedback and support and all the people backstage that believe Dominican Republic deserves this opportunity.
We are proud to be the first city of America, with many other "firsts" for you to draw!!!!
2012 is "presidential elections" year and I am pretty sure the symposium will bring to Santo Domingo all the positive energy that we need!
