Marbella, 34th sketchcrawl

Marbella, Plaza de los Naranjos

Many of you have probably heard about Marbella as a holiday resort. But those that visit it for the first time are surprised to find its beautiful and well preserved old town center, so different from the sea shore apartment buildings or the tourists' villas. Well, this was the place were the sketchers from Málaga held last sketchcrawl.
Despite being in the middle of january, the weather was up to the fame of the Costa del Sol and we enjoyed a beautiful, warm day.
We finished our meeting at the promenade and were rewarded with a beautiful sunset.
You can see the photos and drawings of the team here.

We could feel the light of this part of south Spain. Great work!

Beautiful Luis--as always, so elegantly composed--I especially love the way the brilliant sun is conveyed in the negative space of the building at top.

Luis, me encanta la magia que haces con tres colores. Me ha emocionado el color del mar. ¡Un auténtico maestro! no es coba, es de corazón y admiración.
Saludos.

This is a perfect example of history in your hands. Simple but nicely done. Sketching is really the fastest medium to apply what is in your imagination or what your eyes can see at that very moment. Photographs through drawing or sketching, that is why its important to every person to at least have the basic knowledge when it comes to drawing.
