Castle Green

Yesterday, I enjoyed a party held at the Castle Green, which is a building listed on U.S. National Registry of Historic Places in Pasadena, California. While the building was built in 1898 during the Victorian era, it has a unique mix of architectural styles. It is named Castle Green because it’s on Green Street – though I find it approriate that it is surrounded by lush greenery, too.

My fellow Los Angeles correspondent Virginia Hein also sketched this building, so you can take a look at different views of this quirky hotel-turned-residence. The sketch above is my version: coincidentally, two people dressed in historical costumes walked by, with one holding a parasol, so I had to jot them into my drawing.
