Wow I like this series a lot. My favorite is the wide shot of the plane with the light and shadow creating a nice contrast and composition. I like the lines for the sketchy humans and airport too. It is like looking at fast moving people in a busy airport.
fabulous - These are a wonderful way to while away the hours and keep up that level of excitement from the symposium.
I have a soft spot for sketching planes at the airport. I am still a little shy about drawing on the aiplane - you can't hide in a corner there !
Wonderful drawings - I love the energy in them and how you captured the light in the first drawing with the airplane. Beautiful.
Kumi these are great! I really love the one of the airplane exterior.
great post, yes plenty of time spent in airports and you made really beautiful sketches it was really good to meet you and see you work live the way you use your water brushes and color very inspiring . hope that we meet again.
I hope too that we meet again...
And thanks for my portrait in Portland!
These are wonderful, Kumi, so sorry I didn't get to meet you. All of you!
Thanks Don, alissa, Tracey, Elizabeth, Isabel Gerard and Kate for your encouraging words!
@Isabel,I enjoyed your session a lot and your explanation about drawing people really helped me. I feel sorry that I couldn't attend your lecture which I really liked to listen! It was really nice meeting you and to see your original works. I'm so inspired. Hope we meet again, too.
@ Gerard, You are welcome, it was a great honor to have chance to draw a person I admire. Hope to see you again.
These are beautiful Kumi. So nice to meet you in Portland. Sorry we didn't have a chance to draw together - we will leave that for the next one! - but I enjoyed seeing you making the beautiful portraits of Gerard and Frank.
Wonderful work, Kumi, as always love your colors and lively drawing!
