"I was born in São Paulo and I can't have enough of this city. I walk the streets scrutinizing its disorganized architecture, its strange monuments of concrete, the graffiti and the posters on the walls. I'm specially fond of the old architecture lost in between buildings and avenues, and of the people, the youth, the elderly, the homeless... All those images are the material I use to create my drawings.
Most recently my biggest interest is the renaissance of the urban space. My wish is for art to become closer to everyday life, to be more accessible —not limited to the galleries and museums— and to be presented in alternative spaces that haven't been used. Art should help us reflect and be critical of how we live."
