Getting colder in Kandern

The temperature has dropped here in Southern Germany. Phone calls from California remind me that it was Thanksgiving yesterday. I had completely forgotten. Got out during a break yesterday to sketch the church in town here in Sitzenkirch. By the time I was finished, my hands were frozen and I could barely finish. I think this weekend I'll look for some of those gloves that your fingertips can stick out of, then head into the city to "get urban" with my sketchbook. Happy Thanksgiving season from Kandern.

This is a really haunting painting. Beautifully done and well worth the chilled digits (although that's easy for me to say I guess!)

Wonderful darks and lights here--you've done a masterful job of giving us a cold winter afternoon.

Thank you- I still haven't gotten those fingerless gloves, but they may be a good idea for outdoor drawing in winter.
